Today I'm going on a family celebration to a nearby town, on the shore of the lake.
I love my hometown. It's geographical location is the best: it's near the Bakony mountains, but also is only for a 15 min drive from Lake Balaton. If I go to our attic, I can see the ranges of the mountains but I attend a school in the town where I'm going today: which means that I can see the lake if I look out of the window during a chemistry lesson.
My town is a real historical and cultural centre. It was established c. 1000 years ago and was the favourite place of our first queen. It's full of museums, concerts and the architecture is gorgeous: there are amazing buildings, especially in the Old Town.
Maybe it's only for me, but I think, wherever I am in the city, a special atmosphere can be felt or kind of smelt. It might be the atmosphere of home.

There was a tremendous storm here in Hungary the day before yesterday.
I love rain. I think the usual theory is that rain is equal to sadness, while sun means happiness. I'm not saying I don't like it when the weather is sunny, but after a bunch of sunny days I start to pray before opening my blinders that it is gloomy, or it rains or there are dark clouds in the sky or the wind is blowing.. so that there is literally anything going on but but sunshine and boiling hot weather.
